Privacy Policy

Eluca Beauty LLC (“Eluca,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is building a trusted home for your beauty life. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you visit elucabeauty.com or use an Eluca website, application, beta, feature, or service that links to this Policy (collectively, the “Services”).

1. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect:

  • Account and contact information, such as your name, email address, login credentials, waitlist status, and support communications.
  • Beauty profile information, such as skin type, hair type or texture, shades, concerns, sensitivities, preferences, goals, and information you choose to provide.
  • Collection and activity information, including products you own, save, scan, finish, repurchase, bench, review, or add to wishlists and routines; your notes, ratings, markers, searches, and recommendation interactions.
  • Social information, including friend connections and the products, routines, or activity you affirmatively choose to share. Eluca does not display named friend activity unless that friend has opted in.
  • Device and usage information, such as browser, device, IP address, pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP, referring page, timestamps, and diagnostics.
  • Affiliate and transaction context, such as clicks to a retailer or affiliate partner. Retailers process purchases under their own privacy policies unless Eluca expressly offers checkout.
  • Content you submit, including photos, reviews, feedback, survey responses, and other material you choose to provide.

Please do not submit medical records, government identifiers, financial account credentials, or other information the Services do not request.

2. How we use information

We may use information to provide and secure the Services; organize your Collection and routines; personalize recommendations; explain why a product may or may not fit; support opted-in friend features; create de-identified or aggregated community insights; communicate with you; improve and test features; prevent fraud or misuse; comply with law; and protect users, Eluca, and others.

3. Personalization and AI

Eluca may use automated systems to organize information, generate recommendations, summarize patterns, and help answer beauty questions. Beta recommendations currently use product and activity rules within Eluca; we do not send private beauty-profile data to a third-party generative AI provider. Outputs may be incomplete or inaccurate and are not medical advice. We do not use beauty-profile information to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

4. How we disclose information

We may disclose information to service providers that host, secure, analyze, support, or operate the Services; to retailers or affiliate partners when you choose to visit them; to other users when you intentionally share; in de-identified or aggregated form; to professional advisers; in connection with a business transaction; or when required to comply with law and protect rights and safety.

Eluca does not currently sell personal information for money or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. If this changes, we will update this Policy and provide legally required choices before doing so.

5. Friends and community features

You control whether named activity is shared with friends. Before enabling social features, Eluca will provide clear audience and privacy controls. Aggregated community insights use minimum group sizes and safeguards designed to prevent identification of an individual user. Do not share another person’s private information without permission.

6. Cookies and analytics

We use essential browser storage and authentication cookies to keep you signed in and synchronize your beta Collection. Eluca does not currently use advertising cookies or third-party behavioral analytics. Our infrastructure may produce security, request, and error logs needed to operate the beta.

7. Retention and security

Account and Collection information is retained while your beta account is active. When you request deletion, we delete or de-identify account data within 30 days unless a longer period is needed for security, legal compliance, or dispute resolution. Short-lived infrastructure logs may be retained under our service providers’ operational settings. We use encryption in transit, access controls, and database row-level security, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

8. Your choices and privacy rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of your information, withdraw consent where applicable, change sharing settings, or unsubscribe from marketing. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, including rights to know, correct, delete, limit certain uses, opt out of sale or sharing, and receive non-discriminatory treatment. 9. Children

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Users who are under the age of legal majority where they live may use the Services only with permission from a parent or legal guardian. Beta eligibility may be limited to adults.

10. Third-party services and links

Cloudflare hosts and delivers the beta and may process network and security logs. Supabase provides authentication and database services for account, profile, and Collection data. The Services may also link to retailers, social platforms, publications, or other third parties. Their privacy practices apply when you use their services. A link does not mean that Eluca endorses or controls that third party.
